Join us for a Free Recycling & Shredding Event with our partners State Representative Laura Faver Dias, the Village of Hainesville and Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) this Saturday, July 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hainesville Town Hall (100 Hainesville Rd).
Household items only. See below for the complete list of items that will only be accepted:
- Confidential Documents for Shredding— Max of 4 banker boxes per vehicle.
- NO BUSINESSES: Household personal/confidential docs only (taxes, bank/credit card statements.etc). Recycle mail, envelopes, coupons, magazines, & other paper in your home Curbside Recycling Bin. 99%+ of paper from home is recyclable curbside.
- Shoes—all types Footwear. Tie pairs together w/laces; if no laces, rubber band or zip-tie. No Rollerblades or ice skates.
- Stuffed/Plush Animals, Dolls, & Toys No other toys.
- Clothing—New, Gently Used or Worn (all sizes, fabrics, types). Your donations of new and gently used will be reused & allow us to recycle worn items received. Includes pet clothing, and
costumes. Clean/Bagged. - Accessories: Belts, Scarves, Hats, Purses, Duffle Bags, & Backpacks
- Bed & Table Linens, and Towels (including sheets, comforters, quilts, blankets, tablecloths, etc.)
- Eyeglasses & Hearing Aids & Keys
- Fire Extinguishers & Automotive Batteries. No other batteries.
- C0 & Smoke Detectors
- New & gently used pet leashes, collars & small pet carriers
- Books for Reuse: NO Wet, Damaged. Moldy or Odorous Books
- Phone Books
- Magazines
- “FREE” Government books
- Newspapers
- Time Life Books
- Coloring Books
- Encyclopedias
- Eclipse Glasses– New or Gently Used - (will be donated for reuse to Astronomers Without Borders)
- Musical Instruments: Donated to children’s musical program—No keyboards or drums.
